"I've been a loyal customer of Beto Rodriguez State Farm for over four years with no issues—until last week. I called to file a home claim and was transferred to what I was told was the claims department, but instead ended up on a sales call offering a shopping program and a $100 voucher. Thinking I was still speaking with a State Farm rep, I reluctantly shared my debit card info and address. Only after asking repeatedly to file a claim was I given another number—when I called it, it led to a DirectTV recording. That’s when I realized I’d been scammed. The associate admitted to misdialing one digit, but I hope this is investigated thoroughly to ensure it was truly a mistake and to protect other customers. This has been incredibly stressful and disappointing."
